Just like the title says, I'm completely in the dark when it comes to MIDI, need to get a good MIDI controller for the new Herbert and was looking for some suggestions.
I don't really want anything with an expression/wah pedal attached to it, as I will never use it and don't want the extra size/weight added to it, phantom power capabilities would definitely be a plus since the Herbert can power the pedal with a 7-pin cable, and also I've already looked into the Rocktron MIDI mate and that thing is just over the top complicated so spare me that option.
Ground control used to make a controller that was kinda of wide and not very deep, and the switches actually look like flat pieces of rubber? It seems it's discontinued now but if you look at the Andy Timmons Rig demo vids on the Boogie site he uses one, I really like that style and the way it looks, so if anyone has one of those they are using I would be glad to take it off their hands...
