recommendations for an ABY pedal for a newbie

I've had the Radial TC as well; and the Lehle and both are great. I now use a clone of the Fender that goes for 30-50 bucks and it works great; is also active and buffered. No tone suck as I first tried it by plugging in, and plugging straight in to the amp to compare. Been using it for 5 years for my W/D/W setup.
But you can't go wrong with the more $$ Lehle or Radial.

I use a Fulltone ABY with silent switches.

If you don't need or want switching, then take a look at a Radial Shotgun. Splitter, buffer on 3 of 4, GND lift, phase flip.

I use the Radial, but a lot of people are using the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things for pedalboard management as well as an ABY. It's buffered, has a tuner out, boost, and two loops. Neat tool. Just wanted to drop another suggestion.
