Reference Cabinet Hetfield

He uses Diezel cabs live on the current tour. This I know for a fact.
 
Diezel 4x12 Frontloaded or Rearloaded? Where do you have the information?
Peter Stapfer recently still said that he plays a Mesa Cab...
 
I thought their ISO cabs were all old British boxes with worn out speakers? The cabs on stage sure looked like mesa to me.
 
I have information from Diezel and from visible sight. There are likely Mesa cabs up on the stage alongside other things, but James is using RL V30 based cabs on this tour. Again, there may be others as well - remember, he also runs Triaxis preamps and strategy power amps as well as his VH4s
 
I read an interview with their long time monitor guy (who recently retired after 22 years on the road) that they use iso cabs and only in-ear monitors now, so every loudspeaker on stage is for good looks only!

But the blend of mesa and diezel is also well known. Not sure about the cabs but Mr.Stapfer said after his visit to refurbish Hetfield's VH4 amps that he said to prefer the worn-in (or worn-out? :lol: :LOL: ) RL V30 cabs.

Hetfield was using his reference cabinet and it seems that he´s really into the old British worn out V30´s.....Peter said

I read nothing about Diezel Cabs :confused:
 
That's cos he's not using them, but he did like them a lot when he played thru them afai remember from what Peter said. :)
 
Peter said nothing about Marshall, Diezel or Mesa....He only says that james uses V30 Speakers
James said that he likes the VH4 with 6550´s a lot
 
Now here is what I know:
James was using his reference cabinet in the tuning room with original V30´s made in England.
The cabinets on stage are connected but the signal for FOH is taken from several iso cabinets.

Peter could you please share some info on this:
V30's are made both in England and China?
