but again, I'm a little bit scared this amp will not get as heavy -gain wise- as the Einstein gets. Which is fine by me, I already have a Vh4 which kills for this, but I don't wanna buy an amp thinking it can do somthing when in truth it can't. I'd still get it obviously, the clean/crunch is amazing!!

Olaf are you SURE you can play some thumping rythms with it? has there been an update on the production Schmidt and the Proto? or was the gain never "cranked" in that video? :)

As you can get from the vid, Joey, Artur is an awesome player who is perfect for various styles - mostly a lead player who was just playing around around to catch the clean and lead vibe. He isn't that chugga-chugga kind of guy, so I would say that you wait for some more clips of Schmidt (which will come soon, not next week, but probably during febuary), so you can decide yourself that it does heavy rythms as well.
I've played the final version just before Peter's wedding party in november and did some heavy Sykes riffing without a problem.
Again: its not a metal amp - its a rockers(!)/jazzers/fusionists dream amp, which can do more - with a stronger interaction of the pre- and poweramp.

you said it all there my friend! I'm sold! I'm not a metal player although most of my clips are heavy metal rythms, it's just because the croud here enjoys some heavy stuff more.

Thanks again olaf, already wrote to Terry for one! :D

Thx for answering! I anticipated that you would answer that! Damn. The Einstein is the best amp i ever played on and i ordered one. But when i heard those Schmidt clips i thought to myself- this must be the ideal complement to the Einstein for those Bonamassa bluesy kind of stuff.
Hell, what to do now?

Hehe. Yep. But it will take some years to save the money for the Schmidt. In the long run i will get the Schmidt :) . I have the unmistakable feeling that the Schmidt will set a new standard in terms of Jazz, Blues, medium gain tones but at the moment i would guess its just too expensive for the poor bugger writing this thread  . But maybe in some years Peter will put out the "Eier legende Wollmilchsau" ("eggproducing cottonmelksheep")- the amp that can do everything. And until then i am ready to GAS again bigtime! :m17:
But for now i will try to not reach for the stars (Schmidt) but instead look forward to enjoy the full glory of the Einstein.

That's kinda funny to me, Joey - I always like your clean clips a LOT more than when you play metal...they're just so much more tasty.

I like that Schmidt video! What's the price on that amp?
<edit> nevermind, found it in the other thread...

"Eierproduzierende Wollmilchsau": Sorry the correct english term would be eggproducing cottonmelkpig" i mixed languages: sau is the norwegian word for sheep.
