Renegade 50 effects loop

Anyone know if the Renegade will be able to handle pedals in the effects loop or will it be strictly line level like the mod series?

I've been wondering the same thing. If I could have a delay or EQ pedal in the loop and be able to control it with the footswitch I could just leave the pedals on top of the head. That would be SWEET!

effects loops SHOULD be line level..

spend some extra money and get a good processor for the effects loop.. you might be able to lower the signal like what bogner had to do with a cable.. i think they cut the ground on the cable going into the pedal, put a 100K resistor in series with the conductor carrying the signal, and put a 4.7K resistor between the tip & sleeve on the plug.

let me try to find the diagram.. i'd be interested to know if this would work.

Some people still much prefer a loop to be instrument level. I know several excellent players who prefer this so they can run whatever vintage pedal they want and they hate, hate all processors. I reallize a processor willo take you away from warmer vintage tones and more toward hi-fi, and not everyone wants this. I think I kind of found the best of both worlds with the Glass Nexus I run with my mod 50.

By the way, what is the Renegade? I know about the Rebel.

I really hope it's not just line level. I used rack stuff for a long time and hated what a pain it was if I just wanted to change something on a gig. I currently just use a tuner, maxon compressor, and a drive pedeal into the front of my xtc and a boss super chorus, and dd3 in the loop. Though I like all the extra bells and whistles that a processor brings I get great immediate results with the pedals in the loop.

What about a Digitech floor unit, like one of the small ones (RP50, RP70, etc.) Some of them say they have a Amp/Mixer switch. I'm assuming this is instr./line level switch. I can deal with one of those, but rack units...   I could leave the unit on top of the amp, change presets between songs and then engage the fx loop with the ftsw when I need the desired effect.

Well that sounds like their problem. If you spend any decent amount of money you can get rack units that dont color your sound, therefore no problems.
