I LOOVE my Renegade's clean channel. It sounds SO fender!

how close is it to the bman module?

Depends if you mean the Bassman or Xmann. :D

Many guys mod the BMan to the XMan. It basically shifts the mids a bit....more upper mids.
I think this mod works well on channel B but you get better clean on channel A with the stock BMan. ;)

Not sure about the Renegade but I had an inside source say the Renegade is like the EG3/4X so I might suspect the clean is either Bassman or Xman.

Is the Renegade USA made?

I'm more interested in the clean channel. I'd like to know how close is it from the real Bassman or egnaters bman channel A module.

I ask because I'm preparing myself for the E2 and I wanted to know if I should order the T/D module or the bman module for cleans. If the renegade is at least 90% close to the Bman module I see no need to have the module, so I'd choose the T/D

I'm into sparkling vintage cleans btw

the Renegade is part of the chinese made Egnaters, but it's REALLY well build and sounds glorious!

I think it would be too close to the Bman honestly. I'd either go with a T/T or D/D instead of the T/D for reasons stated many times in this forum. You kind of compromise by combining the T with the D.

+1 on this.

The Clean channel on the Renegade is DAMN close to the BMAN. Great clean on that amp.

Get a d/d so you can have blackface and tweed fender tones.

Totally agree here. The T/D isn't nearly as good as either the T/T or D/D. VX is still one of the best modules Egnater makes....

this is where I'm a bit lost honestly.

what's the problem with the T/D? and what the difference with the T/T and the D/D? which one has the nicest clean?

Well, my issue was basically the EQ. You'd get it set for one side, the switch to B and it wouldn't sound quite right. Set the D side for killer Deluxe crunch and the T side wouldn't be nice and sparkly and twinish.

Which do you prefer........Fender Twin cleans? Or Deluxe cleans?? There is your answer. The Deluxe crunches up very nicely (yet sounds very good clean) where the T/T stays relatively clean all the time. If you are stictly a clean guy, I'd probably lean to the T/T.
