Renegade Combo & Rebel 20 Question ...

Hey guys....

I have been on here many times but had one more question ... is it safe to say that the renegades clean channel is basically the rebel 20? I see all the same features and the 18W or 65 W settings. I love the Rebel Clean sound just want to make sure if can get that same sound but louder on the renegade. The knobs are exactly the same, bass mid, treble, gain tube mix and tight and bright. the only difference i see is the tubes. But the renegades tubes should be better?

They are not better.It's 6L6's instead of 6V6's and EL34's instead of EL84's.They are more powerful.6V6's are the little brothers of 6L6's...But,to my ears,they don't really sound the same...With the Renegade's 6L6's,you should get much more headroom.I hope you will get many Renegade's owners describing the differences between the Rebel20 and the Renegade.. I only have the Rebel20...
