Renegade footswitch mod?

I would like to mod my footswitch so that the MAIN 2 button also engages the EFFECTS button. This would allow me to use CH2 un-boosted for distorted rhythm, then simultaneously engage MAIN 2 and the loop (with a delay in it) for lead. EFFECTS and MAIN 2 would be set for CH2 only. I haven't cracked open the pedal yet. Anybody have an idea if this is feasible without major surgery? I'm hoping that jumpering a couple contacts would do it. I'm concerned that grounds might be isolated, thus making this more difficult than paralleling two switches. Any input is welcome before I dive in myself.

If it were me I would first check on whether this would void your warranty to do so- Might want to call Egnater.

Good advice, certainly. I'm confident with a soldering iron, I just don't want to re-invent the wheel if this is something somebody else already did. I sent an email to Egnater support. We shall see what comes of that.

It's a small company. They are generally pretty helpful and understanding. Still, if people go monkeying around with the stuff too much they have to cancel the warranties it seems to me- They can't back up what potentially thousands of users might do to the things. Kepp us informed- I will be curious as to what they say.
