So, I have a renegade head... been using it for a year or so now.

I have never been happy with the sensitivity of the main1/main2 controls.... In a nutshell, the Main2 pot/knob is SUPER sensitive. In a perfect world, I would love a 2-3db signal boost for leads. yes, I know, perfect world.

I usually keep Main1 at around 9 or 10 oclock for live use and rehearsals. I adjust the channel volumes accordingly to balance the clean/dirty volume.

I have heard that setting Main1 to "2 or 3 oclock" will decrease the sensitivity of Main2, but that has a secondary effect of making the XLR out difficult to manage.... as it dramatically effects the output on the XLR.

Any suggestions?

What would be PERFECT would be for the Main2 knob to range from no boost when the knob is at 7 oclock.... and a 4db boost and 5 clock.

Am I just dreaming? Any suggestions?

hey steve,

have the same issue....i think everyone...:-)
i think it is a audio pot problem....i quess they put a REV-LOG audio pot in instead of a LIN pot...did you have any gutshots from inside? i will give a check...

my other issue is....i need a little bit more gain on channel 1!

any ideas? maybe nate?

what can i do to have more gain without any stomboxes in front of the amp?

thanks for the help

dude
