Renegade output power - variable based on Tube Mix??

I noticed in the specs for the MOD50, that the power output of the head with 6L6s is 50W, while with EL34s it is 60W.

Got me thinking - the Renegade is rated 65W. But, I'm guessing that the actual output varies depending on where the Tube Mix is set. Anyone know if this is true? If I am running 100% on 6L6s, is the output of the head 50W? I would also assume that at 100% EL34s, the output would be 60W, like the MOD50, and that the 65W is derived from an in-between setting where both sets of tubes are running?

Thanks,
Rick

At the GC Egnater Q&A the other night, Bruce said that when you have it turned to either side, it's around 45-50 watts, and when it's straight up, it's 65.

Don't quote me on that, but that's what I remember hearing.

I remember Bruce saying the same thing. Around 45 watts with one set of tubes selected and the power switch set to 65W. Around 12 watts with the power switch set to the 18W setting.
If the tubes are mixed at 12 o'clock you get the full 65/18 watts of power.

How do you like your Renegade so far? What cabinets have you tried the head through?

Thanks guys. I'm loving the Renegade so far. As I guess it's obvious from my other posts, I am starting to experiment with diff tubes and speakers to fine tune the tone. It's really good, but not quite exactly what I want yet for my ears. But it's def a keeper - I am confident that with some minor tube and speaker tweaks, I will get it exactly where I want it.

I do know this: The Renegades that I have tried are loudest with the tube mix at 12 o'clock. I would guess that is because you are getting maximal output power out of them at that setting.

The same is true of the Rebel 20 & 30
