Renegade power tubes question

The renegade manual says you can use 6v6's but "jj only!"

Can you really only use jj's? I have some electro harmonix 6v6's that I would like to try.

If I can use the e-h what is the bias level?

There may be others beside JJ now. At the time of that writing, the JJ 6V6 was the only brand I was aware of that was rated at 450 volts, the plate voltage in the Renegade. I don't know about the others. Check with the supplier of those brands.

According to tubestore.com it says "plate voltage not more than 450 volts." Can I assume that means I an use it?
