Hi,
As mentioned in a few other posts in this forum, there seems to be a bit of a situation when using a volume pedal in the FX loop. I'm used to doing so, and with my new Renegade head there is this situation:
- when I set the volume pedal to zero, there is still reverb coming through.
I understand that this is the spillover function, but this also means that the ratio of dry signal / reverb is changing when you change the volume on the footswitch. Meaning your signal gets wetter (more reverb) when you lower the volume, ending in only reverb with the volume pedal all the way down.
Putting the volume pedal not in the FX loop, but before the amp will off course solve this particular problem, but then you have an additional foot gain on your crunchchannel, which I find is not appropriate.
Is there a fix, or a mod, or anything else that will make the volume pedal in the FX loop work the way it works on most amps?
I hope so, for this is a truly great amp.
