Renegade volume increase problem?

Hi guys. Haven't heard back from Nate at Egnater yet, so I thought I'd pose my problem here. Have a Renegade amp 2x12. Love it. However, I have noticed that when I am playing for about 20 minutes or so, the amp will increase volume. Often, there will be short volume spikes, then eventually the volume will stay increased. It is not an ear shattering increase, but enough to screw up the mix to the point I have to readjust. I have found that if I put the amp into standby for a couple of seconds, then put it back to play, the amp returns to its normal, original volume.

Anyone have any ideas? The amp seems to work fine, otherwise.

try to turn your main 2 all the way down and see if it still does it. If it does not, then it is probably in the main 2. This does not solve the prob but it narrows it down a bit.

Sounds like a plan. I'll give that a go tonight. Thanks.

Just got done playing for 1/2 hour. Made sure the Main 2 volume was down all the way. Verified this by switching Main 2 in and out with the footswitch; there was no volume increase. Still got the volume spikes. After about 1/2 hour, volume increased and stayed there. Not sure what could be causing this, but it's getting aggravating.

Could be a power tube that is not working at 100% when cold but is after it warms up. Try turning the tube mix all the way to one side and see if it happens and then all the way to the other. If it is a problem one way and not the other, you can determine what set up tubes is the problem. If it happens either way, then it may be a preamp tube.
