I turned on my MOD 50 at rehearsal last night and noticed that the blue power light is no longer lit. Is this something I can replace myself easily?

It should be if you have any soldering skills. All you'd need to do is remove the amp chassis from the enclosure, de-solder the old LED, and solder in a new one. Pretty simple. That's strange that it went out though. LEDs last for friggin ever.

Thanks. The amp sounded great still so perhaps this is a stupid question, but it couldnt be an indication of any problem besides a burned out LED, right?

Well, it's hard to say. More than likely it's just a bad LED, especially considering that everything is working fine and the LED worked in the past without issue. That would be the 1st place to start. Other things it may possibly be range from a connection that came loose or a solder break to a faulty resistor in the chain, or who knows what else. These aren't as likely though. A good way to find out would be to open it up, get out your digital multimeter, and check to see that you are getting current at the LED leads. From there, you'll know for sure whether or not it's the LED.

Look at it as an opportunity to customize your Mod50 with a new color LED. Perhaps white, purple, etc...

i doubt it has anything to do with the main's of the amp. thats too much juice to light up a led.. it is possible the resistor went, but you'd know that as soon as you take out the led..

the only thing you have to watch out for is LEDs can only go in one way.. the negative side (cathode) is usually always the shorter leg.
