Since the M4 has no reverb, what is the best way to use a Real Tube Reverb RT-921?

Between M4 and power amp? Set levels on the RT-921 to line?

I can't really do that; I have a GCX but don't want the reverb in there because it's wired to my guitar's on-board effects loop and the reverb is always on in my setup. I turn the effects loop on and off right from the guitar. Plus, I'm using all the loops.

Even if I used the GCX, wouldn't that really be the same as plugging the guitar into the reverb right before the signal goes to the preamp? I thought time-based effects are better after the preamp and before the power amp in a parallel loop, which the M4 does not have.

get a Suhr Mini-Mix - it creates a parallel loop from the M4 output. That way you don't have to run your entire signal through the reverb unit.

So, here's another option ...

I have a two channel power amp that will allow me to mix two line inputs at individual levels and sum them to one output for my cabinet.

I can run one output from the Egnater dry to the power amp, and the second output to the Real Tube Reverb, fully wet.

Then I can adjust how much of the Egnater channel and the reverb channel will combine in the final power amp output.

Is this pretty much the same as the Suhr mini mix or a true parallel effects loop?

Thanks.
