Blowing off steam.

Long story short:
Waited all day for an Anderson Icon that was "out for delivery". Never came. Tracking shows "address confirmation needed". Turns out it was shipped to a generalized mall address. Neither I or the seller can adjust the address. Reverb has to do it.

The question is, why did Reverb provide this address, that I've never used and isn't my default addy anyway, to the shipper?

Now the shipper and I are totally dependent on Reverb to remedy this issue that should never have occurred. Meanwhile, this $3g+ guitar is sitting on a truck somewhere in 90 degree heat.

That really sucks. What'd you use to check out on reverb? Any chance that had a different address associated with it?

Did someone hack your account, and change the shipping address?

Was it a shopping center, with a UPS Store or Fed Ex location, that you may have picked up from before?

Checked out with Reverb, probably my bank account. Never had this issues before, have changed nothing.

Maybe hacked? No shopping center, no suite #. General mall address, that I don't shop at. Maybe at the Best Buy there like 10 years ago

Wow....have the carrier hold the guitar for pickup, in the meantime.
You can figure out this mess later, but if someone did hack into your account, don't let them have the satisfaction of getting the guitar.
Looks like, on the UPS site, the guitar is being held for pickup at a UPS facility for 5 days. I'm off tomorrow, headed first thing.
No followup with Reverb or seller, so assume the hold is a result of my call to UPS.
Followup tomorrow

These situations suck. Pretty sure we’ve all had this sort of problem pop up over the years and it’ll drive a man insane. I know exactly how you’re feeling right now - you just want to get the guitar in your hands and out of UPS’s possession. Hope it happens tomorrow Bobby

Good luck...

Drove 30 minutes, waited 20, drove back 30, with the guitar. Woohoo.
Needed a setup. Like, it took hours to get it dialed in. But now, it plays like butta.

Here it is (rosewood neck), next to my buddy's guitar, which motivated me to grab this one:

NGD thread to come. Can wrap this one up with a happy, even if frustrating, ending.

Glad it worked out!

I had a similar issue a week or so ago. The seller reached out and asked that I fix my address in the Reverb system because it was generating a nonsense shipping label.

But my address in Reverb was correct... I just reentered it into the system and that fixed it on the seller's end. I'm sure glad he reached out!

I was kind of surprised the seller didn't confirm my address was correct. I suppose a street could be 2501 Irving Mall.
I'm glad your seller reached out too!

So there's obviously an issue with Reverb, providing false addresses. My default address was correct as well.
