Who uses reverb? Do you use it on clean and high gain OD? Spring or digital?

I use spring whenever I can but I only use it on my cleans. It would be nice to have a _tiny_ bit of reverb on my dirty signal but I'd have to run two reverbs and that's just a pain. (And the reverb in my old Twin is insanely nice)

The Line 6 DL4 has some really nice delays that I sometimes use on my dirty channel for a little bit of "air" in the signal without getting mooshy.

BTW Bruce, I have a Mod50 ordered right now... is the reverb option channel assignable? Or is it footswitchable the same as a loop?

I dont use any reverb. I sometimes approximate a reverb type sound using a Multi-tap delay. But I only use it on cleans. If I could have a nice spring reverb that is assignable to module 1 or 2 or both, or at the very least footswitchable, Id be very interested because Id never want it on my overdrive sound.

No reverb for me. It's just not my style. I love delay.

I think you’ll find that the guys playing modern heavier stuff don’t use it much. Those that play more variety (classic rock, 80s, funk, modern, reggae, etc) use reverb to suite the style.

If you’re considering adding reverb to your amps as a standard feature, at the least, you should be able to have separate reverb level controls for each module. That seems doable with a spring type.

Ideally, having control of the reverb level and decay for each module/channel would be the best. Of course going that route it’s going to be digital and that would open the door for multiple reverb type selections (spring, plate, room and hall) as well.

I think it’s a great idea, do it!

I use reverb similar to George Lynch and Jerry Cantrell. If reverb isn't in my tone then it's probably not cabled in my rack.

I use verb for cleans and leads (dirty or not) but I am not a fan of verb on Rhythm parts in most cases delay is they to go for Rhythm if at all.

I do have a MOD 50 with the verb tank and I like the verb tone but it is a bummer that I can not turn it on and off with a footswitch or even better assign it to turn on and off via midi with specific module channels.

I know there are MIDI loop devices that can do this but I do not want to invest that type of cash when I can just use my delay pedal instead.

Not much of a verb user. Maybe a little on the clean if it's in the amp, otherwise I wouldn't get a separate pedal for verb.

I use a VanAmps Reverbmate pedal and a modded LXP5 on clean and crunch.. On heavily distorted rhythm and lead I think it smears too much so it's tapped delay or nothing.

Mine is switched out via GCX so I have lots of variations available.
