So, I've been waiting for this to hit the stores here. I went to the local store today to try it out and holy crap, that neck is wide. I've been wanting to get a seven sometime soon. The neck is really really wide and thin. Didn't try it too long, only for a minute or so. I felt very lost around the neck. Anybody else try one of these and what did you think?

I really want to get one, but I gotta have a floating bridge that can pull up as well. I just feel lost without some sort of recessed trem. I'd probably put a high A on it instead of that low F#.

If you want that, there's a guitar company called Halo. They make 8 strings with Kahlers. Kahler seems to be picking up to the extended range market nicely with now making 9, 10 string and fanned fret trems.

Yup! I know about Halo guitars, but I'm pretty much an Ibeenhad fan for some reason. I dunno why, but I just mesh with them better than any other guitars I've played, so it makes it harder for me to buy a brand that isn't Ibby. I really enjoy that Kahler is taking a step foward in offering trems for the 7, 8, 9+ string market.

I've got one

I posted a review a while back. It plays great once you get used to the extra strings. Sounds MASSIVE through the boogie.
