It seems the BBQ gets all the talk. Does anyone have any experience with the Tallboy or Muy Grande ? According to the specs, these are hotter.

I've used the Tallboy singles and the Muy Grande humbucker.
First, the Tallboys are excellent singles, sort of like Texas Specials but not as fizzy, plenty of sizzle if you want, thick for a single, middy.
The Muy Grande is hot. Let me reiterate, I mean habanero hot. Killer mids, crunchy thick, articulate if you wish, a bit muddy if you aren't careful or set them up wrong. They really like to be low from the strings.
Great tones on both.
Let me add that I had both pickups in an alder Carvin TL-60, so with a darker guitar the Muy Grande might smooth out a bit.
