I still remember how I heard about this; I was in Reserve Officer School at the time and we were on training camp in the woods when the shooting happened. When we came back from there I turned my mobile phone on and saw a SMS my brother had sent me while I was gone. After reading it I immediately called him to ask if it's really true. Couldn't believe it...

I was playing a gig the night after it happened. There were loads of rumours floating round that both Vinnie and Dime were shot dead and i honestly just said "Yeah whatever, rumours are rumours". I had no computer to get to so i could not find out the truth.

Then i went home after soundcheck to get ready for the gig in the evening, and found out on the net that Dime was killed. I just couldnt believe it, i felt sick to my stomach and extremely upset when i found out. I felt beyond gutted..

Still hits me bad now and then, but im so greatful that we got so much footage of him doing crazy shit and having fun!!! Atleast we can all look back at the home videos and everything and see that Dime lived more in his life than most people could live in 3 lifetimes!!!

I would say he's my biggest inspiration and always was since a young age. Musically and non musically, because he lived everyday to the fullest!
 
when i play your guitar, it feels like your soul is somewhere teaching me how to be better dude. thanks for leaving me the best guitar i could hope for!
 
RIP Dime. What a great talent and a true music fan. His absence will be missed for a long time I bet.
 
RIP. Dime was a huge influence in my playing... Couldn't believe it when I heard what happened, felt like someone I knew personally got killed.
 
I know Vinnie still has some unreleased stuff of Damage Plan. I remember reading that anyways. Hope to hear some of it before to long.

goddammit.... :cry: Just glad I got to see Pantera before he was murdered. He was an amazing human being. :cry: :cry: :cry:
