This is driving me absolutely nuts. I bought a Rolls Midibuddy to use as a footswith for my VH4, and I can't figure out how to program it for the life of me. I have followed the instructions to the T like 5 times and have even replaced it with another unit to no avail. Finally I borrowed a couple of my friends Midi pedals (One Boss and one ART) and they worked right off the bat no prob. I have the VH4 in omni mode. Anyone familiar with the Rolls? Help!

Nope, the Rolls works fine with other midi devices. I think I am following directions on the VH4 correctly. With the Boss pedal I just put the amp in omni and it worked. Do you have to do more than that with other controllers? I tried every channel and the Diezel doesn't do anything. Peter please help me.

It seems that the Rolls send bad signals.

I have one that works perfect with my VH4, how are your jumpers set on the rolls?

I have jumper 6 down, 5 up, 1-4 up (I've tried every combo though). The rolls is working perfectly with all other midi products we have here. I was running a JMP1 and some effects units with no poblem at all. Hmmmm it is just the Diezel being weird. I am going to email Peter with my info.

FYI, My jumpers are: 1 & 6 down. 2-5 are all up.
I know you said you tried all combos, but... That is a lot of possibilities.
Good luck,
Steve

Just wanted to give a quick update and also take an opportunity to thank Peter for great customer service. After Emailing Peter, he was able to identify the problem I was having and sent me a replacement midi chip (free of charge). After installing the new chip, the VH4 is in proper working order and I am ready to rock!

Thanks again Peter!
