RT2/50 Presence and Density Controls

The Presence and Density controls on my RT2/50 have very little effect from 0% to 70%. At 70% to 75% there's a small jump in sound then the rest of the control has a gradual increase up to 100%. This behavior is the same for the Presence and Density on both channels.

Is this normal operation or should the controls have an even taper from min to max?

I've had the amp for a while, but it only occurred to me recently that the controls might not be working correctly. Thanks.

On my RT2/50, the presence and density controls are very noticeable from 0 on up.

Yeah, I've owned a couple RT2/50's over the years (my favorite power amp of all time) and neither of them have operated in that fashion... sounds like something is funky with the amp.

Bruce, Ian, have you ever seen this problem before and know what might be causing it?
