Running extension cabinet with the Rebel 30???

Hey guys,

A friend of mine is going to run my THD 212 with his Rebel 30 combo at a gig and I am curious if he should use the "Use First" out or the "Extension" out? I told him to run the Extension out jack but the manual acts as if you must run the Use First jack before anything else. He wants to have all speakers working at the same time, the combo speaker with the 212 cab's speakers.
 
I would think the "main use first" is if only one output jack is in use.
So he should use your cab on the "ext" jack out. And have the combo amp speaker in the main.
I would also think if your 2x12 cab is 8 ohms, he should select 8 ohms on the Amp, not 4.
 
Thanks, the Main Use First is confusing because the internal speaker is always connected.
