Ok...real dumb question from the rookie VH4 owner:

How the heck to you run two - 16ohm 4x12 cabs (use what speaker outputs?) have a hunch, but just wanna make sure.

so running two Diezel cabs which I believe are 8ohm cabs, you would use the two outputs all the way to the left - right?

the left bridge is 4 ohm
the middle bridge is 8 ohm
the right bridge is 16 ohm

2 x 8 ohm = 1 x 4 ohm
2 x 16 ohm = 1 x 8 ohm

so the times symbol might as well be a divide   just to confuse you.

Look up Ohm's Law and you'll understand it. It's all about parallel resistors. Really easy once it kicked in.

Hmm I got a Hughes & Kettner VC 412 A25 and I want to try to run it as a Fullstack with my Diezel 412FK CUSTOM. The Problem is that the Hughes&Kettner Box has 4 or 16Ohm-mono und the Diezel cab 8Ohm mono. Do I have to solder the Hughes&Ketnner cab?

Soldering won't help. You can neither change the impedance of the H&K cab to 8 Ohms not change the Diezel cab to 4 or 16 Ohms.

But as far as I remember someone said it would be ok to combine cabs with different impedance and have a small mismatch.

Hmm so I could try to use the 2x8Ohms outputs from the VH4 and plug it into the Diezels cab 8Ohm input and the other in the 4 or 16 Ohm input of the Hughes&Kettner cab?! This will not destroy the amp? :scared: But thanks for the fast answer so far!

As far as I know that will work and not damage the amp but I would wait for Peter or Olaf to confirm this since I'm not 100% sure.
