Safe to run an XTC in Half power mode into 1 Vintage 30?

I have an OS2x12 but sometimes its a bear to move around. Can I use my 1x12 cab with a Vintage 30 and just run the Ecstasy in half power or will it smoke the speaker?
 
The short answer is 'yes'. Engaging the half power does not halve the power of any amp
 
Full power is fine as well. Just need to match ohms. I run my Uberschall and Ecstasy both at full power using a 1x12 cab (when I'm using it).
 
I've been gigging with my 101b in half power mode for at least a couple of years with a 1x12. No problems.
