On the Today show just now...at least that's what it looked like.

So he dumped his Herbert for a JVM? I know he liked the TSLs when they first came out. I remember him saying they were the best sounding amps Marshall had ever made.

He used the DSL for a few tours....not sure about the TSL except for a few tv shows.

He just needs to have a look at the old Live 8 tapes to realise that . . . :D

Seriously I'd say: no surprises here. Although I liked his Herbert sounds a lot.

i dvd-r this to watch later just to see what he's playing now...dude switches gear every tour...i was like, "i wonder what he's going to play now over the herberts and /13 from the last tour"

I saw Bon jovi on some Country music special on tv and that was the worst Herbert tone I have heard....real dry, raspy and harsh tone.

If I would play country thru it it wouldn't sound any better :D

Just kidding. This live version of Have A Nice Day has the typical fat Herbie sound Sambora will never get with his JVM.

Yep...definitely a JVM. He had 2 on stage through what looked to be marshall cabs with the logos off.

He's out of rehab?

It was only detox...not rehab.

Now that I look at the cabs closer, they might be diezels with the logo off.

Sure TSL is the best sounding amp for all dudes that like thin brittle fizz sounds ...

That was the tune they were playing- with some country singer. Most of the Herby clips I have heard on these forums blow away the tone he was getting in that show.

I never go by live tv tone...most of the producers/sound mixers on these shows have no idea what they're doing.

Did he suffer from Diezel addiction?
LOL- that's my problem these days. Demo an amp, buy it , bring it home, plug it in next to the Einstein, a/b them.....unplug it and take it back to the store. Thanks alot, Herr Diezel for ruining my life.

I wish I had that problem. If they didn't cost the price of a small house, I'd have one.

Sambora did a lot for Diezel, playing a Herbert for what? 2-3 years, showing it and the logo to billions during Live 8. Amazing.

Just saw that his father died and he split with his GF. I hope that he's in shape soon.

Yea, I do think Diezels are overpriced here in America but to me they do have the best, clear high gain tones I have ever heard. And the clean and Texas blues tone I get from Einy is remarkable as well. Not many Einstein lovers here on these forums but for me it's the shit.

Yeah, and part of his 12 step Recovery is a promise to not play real amps, thus the JVM
