Sammy Hagar Thank you Goodnight - Eddie tribute

Classic Hagar "too literal and corny" lyrics, but it's a cool song and a very decent tribute to EVH.

I know Sammy likes playing with Joe because he’s a reliable professional, but he’s a poor choice for this type of venture, everything sounds like Satch.

Also, dwelling on EVH at this point is boarding on weird. You want to play a few of the songs, okay. Touring the catalog, or interpreting dreams about him. too much for me.

Nah dude, it is weird, be it this is a dream interpreting "tribute", a money grab, a hangout for sammy and michael... whatever the hell it is, the whole EVH obsession is just beyond odd to me at this point.

'Think I just heard this.. What's up with the scratchy fake ass, direct modeler toaster guitar tone??
Sounds like shit..
Love U Satch.. LOL

Sammy is 77-yrs old, and it shows.

Having said that, I sure wish I can make it to that age AND still rock out like him.

Preemptive review over. No I didn't listen.

Yeah, stopped it halfway through. Sounds very Sammy.

I honestly thought before hearing it that it was going to be his version of Between Us Two, the fabled 96 era song that was to be VH’s Stairway to Heaven.

Alex released the music to that in his Brothers book.

This Sammy thing just sounds like a run-of-the-mill Chickenfoot tune.

He needs to give up the constant Van Halen….regret or worship…I don’t know what you would call it. It seems like everything he does is vh, vh, vh…. Fuck man… it’s over…

Agreed. It’s kinda pathetic.

RT don’t play, haha. I thought it was a decent straight ahead rock and roll tune.
Don't listen to these jackasses, lol.

I'm a big Eddie fan and I thought it was a great song and good ending. I'll put it this way, I've not been happy with Hagar or DLR or how EVH's memory was tainted with all of this drama there at the end. This was a nice tribute to the years they had together.
