Sans Amp Fly Rig 5 vs Brit Fly Rig?

My band rehearses in the drummers garage-turned-studio and everything is mic'd, the bass is direct (mostly), and the drummer has now enclosed himself in a plexiglass cage (full mic's on drums). He uses IEMs but there are monitors/subs in the room (I hate using IEMs or headphones) So I was thinking of getting a Sans Amp Fly Rig so I can just leave it there and keep my montrous pedalboard at home.

But the Fly Rig 5 has a Plexi section and the Brit Fly Rig has a Brit section instead. Sounds like about the same thing to me. I'm almost certain that for this band (90's stuff like Pearl Jam, STP, etc) the RK and the Cali Fly Rigs would be too much gain. But I can't find a comparison of these two Fly Rigs. Anybody compared them?

There is Youtube video where the RK5, Brit, and Cali are compared. But not the FR5. In the comments he says the Brit has more gain and is a tiny bit fatter. Maybe it's a JCM800 type emulation? If so, I think I'd want the Plexi version.

I played the Ritchie Kotzen one.
It sounded great and was very touch responsive like a real amp. I believe you can dial the gain where you want. The clean was like a fender twin somewhat.
they are very impressive especially for the money!
I did not try the others.

Thanks, if it were just for what I want to play I'd likely want the RK5 or the Cali. But I need medium-gain Plexi/Vox tones a lot and that's sort of the priority tone I'm looking for. I intend to put some sort of boost in front for when I need higher gain (for Candlebox or Collective Soul or something).

I saw that there is a Liverpool Deluxe overdrive that looks sweet but rare and expensive. It has an FX loop and presets, etc.

I kind of like the idea of the British or Liverpool Character pedals but then I'd have to add delay at the end and I don't know how that works with the cab simulation (hence the FX loop in the Deluxe pedal I assume).

I have an RK5. I just take it to practice and use a headstock tuner.
Very convenient. Sounds great through an amp and into the computer with a good IR.
Great purchase.

I have the Fly Rig 5 and think this video is pretty accurate for how it sounds. I don't care for the feel when playing through it though.

Yeah, everything in that demo sounds good except as he increases gain you can hear the tone thin and it doesn't look like the feel is right. But those low-medium gain tones were pretty damn good.

I found a decent deal on a FR5 so I'll take it for a spin. Seems like something that would be nice to have anyway.
