I have a greater appreciation for UFO after last night. Still rocking after all these years.

FINALLY, I was able to see one of my influences and favorite players live:

Vinnie Moore!

He is AWESOME! Total package. Technique/Feel/Swing/Melody etc

He played thru channel 3 of an ENGL SE head all night. The Classic wasn't plugged in. Pedalboard was Boss tuner, Dunlop Crybaby, Boss Octaver, Ibanez Tubescreamer, Arion Chorus (or Phaser or Delay... not sure), T-Rex Replica, & an MXR Carbon Copy. All powered by a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power. 2 ENGL 4X12's (1 straight and 1 angled).

I saw Vinnie like 15 years ago at the Cubby Bear bar in Chicago.....a really small venue (I was like 3' from him). I never was a fan of Vinnies recorded tone (ala Minds Eye), but live he smokes. Seems like a pretty down to earth guy too. Amazing player!

Yeah, I think his tone has evolved for the better over the years. I'm dig'n what I've heard lately. I think his next solo, soon to be released, CD should be killer!
