Schmidt Recordings

I know this wasn't a very popular amp and it got discontinued, but I fucking love it. It has everything I need for the odd variety of stuff I like to play.
I don't come across very many recordings of the Schmidt, so I thought I'd share a few songs I did. Shameless plug, I'll admit, but I figured some of you guys might be interested :)

One disclaimer... I recorded this stuff in my garage and this was my virgin attempt at doing any sort of recording on my own... so don't go too hard on me!

This song was doubled up with a Vox AC30 in the verse and bridge.

I hope I was able to capture some of the Schmidt's awesomeness. This is seriously a great amp. I'm glad I was able to snag one!
 
The recordings sound fine to me and show that the Schmidt is capable of rockier tones despite being the "blues and jazz machine" that it was marketed to be. I use one for almost a year now and spend about 70% of my playing time on the clean channel. If I may even more shamelessly add a link to some bluesy stuff? If I should not do this, please let me know and I'll take it somewhere else.

Anyway, if it's okay to post here, the first three minutes are warming up before some dinner party gig, the last minute is a little solo that may have even been the second channel from the same evening:


I am glad that I got my hands on one before they were discontinued, too. Such a great amp, the first channel alone is so versatile and dynamic, plus the beautiful reverb. Love it.

That sounds great. The way you mentioned recording it in your garage...I was expecting something...different.

Very nice guitar tones and I really liked the music. Good job.

Absolutely man, share away! I encourage anyone to share their Schmidt tracks here. One stop shopping for badass tone!

Your song sounds great. Very smooth and cool. I'm jealous... wish I could play like that lol

Very nice. That P90 sounds great with the Schmidt. I use a Bluesbucker in the neck of a SE245 which is meant to sound like a P90, but that Häussel... nice!

Which pickups are in that Redwood? Sounded very single coil'ish to me...

By the way, I was in Oberharmersbach last Saturday. It's nice seeing there are Schmidt users this side of the pond, too! ;)

You're right with the single coil sound, I played the neck-Humbucker in splitted mode.

Seems that Oberharmersbach was the Mecca of Schmidt-Users :-)
