Here's something different. I did a web jam on Monday with some other players. A guitar player in Italy started it out with a metal session template. Next a drummer here in the U.S. added drums then a bass player I jam with a lot added a sick bass track to it. I had previously recorded some crazy sound effects while screwing around with Valhalla Space Modulator and Supermassive plugins and a cigarette lighter like a 12 year old . I added it as an intro to this and recorded another rhythm track and the leads. I did a short clean lead at the very end as sort of a play out thing and wanted to use something from the Valhalla plugin on it. I picked something from the wild folder to try. It turned what I played into something that doesn't even have distinguishable notes. It sounds like an alien ship fly by which fit so I left it.

I updated the video with one I cobble together with scenes from several existing movie montage videos. This one fits and is a lot more entertaining than the lame picture slide show I usually use. lol

Really cool song - structure and tone wise, but geez that bass is LOUD man, lol

Good lead tone too

I wanna hear a little of the rhythm guitar!

I know, that happens a lot with these Wikiloops collaborations because they are put together as a chain of track additions so you usually get whatever the last player uploaded to work with and not all the separate tracks so you can mix them properly. They are just throwaway jams done for fun and not serious productions. There are occasions when someone will want to do a little more with it and will get all of the separate files from the players and post them so players after him/her can manipulate the individual tracks and do a more careful mix. This wasn't one of those. Joe is a sick bass player though so I enjoyed his track. It's what drew me in to add to it. The guitar player that started the track did the rhythm part so that is available because all versions in the chain are available for download.

If you go here you will be on the page where I uploaded my addition. Click on the track from the player at the top of the list to hear his original upload. https://www.wikiloops.com/backingtrack-jam-224037.php

Anything goes in these collab's and nobody gets offended if you change their work in your addition. These things split into multiple versions anyway as players download the last track (or an earlier one) and upload their version. I've cut tracks up and completely rearranged them and the players before me were all like "dude that was effin cool, I like what you did at 1:28 and again at...". NOBODY is a dick and gets an attitude which is really refreshing. They are all just there to have some fun. It's a cool website with a s-load of killer players participating on it.
