Hello, very new to this kind of communication, it's very cool.

My friend has recently bought a used Agile 8 string and the previous owner told us that He had changed the pups to SD Pegasus/Sentient set (looks like so, haven't checked the SN yet). The guitar is in really good shape and everything about it looks very healthy, but the Pickups are Massively microphonic... This is very surprising since I have never had a propper pickup be microphonic. Should I take the pickups to a local tech to wax?

Thank you.

can you post a recording of them sound?

I'll bet you anything that the pick ups are just wired up wrong. It could also be that the potentiometers are the wrong type.

I am quite doubtful the pick ups themselves are the culprit.

One thing you can try is to apply some heat to the pickups to Re-flow the wax. Hair dryer will work fine for this. Doesn’t take long; a minute will work. Then try the guitar. This has worked for me a few times, with older pickups that were microphonic.

I am going to echo this.
