I just got an Einy 50w and the preamp tube must be bad... i am going to order some new tubes from Dougs Tubes and might as well buy some new power tubes. I dont have any power tubes as a backup so the ones in there now i could use as a backup.... anyways.... how are the SED EL34's?

Thanks, Matt

They rock with this amp man, what i used the whole time I had it!

I had a pair in my Einy. They're incredible. I'm currently running SED 6550's and they're sweet as hell too.

I just talked with Doug from Dougs Tubes. I will be going with EL34 SED Winged "C"'s. (2) Ruby 12AX7 HG+ and (3) Ruby AC5.... I need to look up what for the Phase Inverter.

about $125 and we should be rockin for a long time

I still cannot find that damn tube layout for the Einy

I think all Rubys are made in China, but just make sure that you put Chinese tubes in the v4/5 position because I believe they are cathode followers and Russian tubes have a tendency to take a shit in cathode follower positions, not sure why the Chinese ones hold up and Russians don't but that's what I've been told/read countless times!

Thanks for the info's guys. I know some of this stuff has already been asked, but finding it is a trick sometimes.

Thanks, Matt

For Ch#2 (v2) what could i put in there for more of a singing lead sound?

Also, anyone know what the fuse is internally? I want to have backup fuse's if anything ever happens.

Also, I did have the amp out of the Chasis... I think I found the Bias adjustment... its white and can be rotated... is that where the Bias is controlled... if so then it seems to be an easy thing to adjust... I would just need a MA meter and hook it to the external Bias points right?

Sorry for all the questions... there are no amp/electronics repair close to me and I would rather do it myself and know its right and be able to check it when needed.

Thanks, Matt
