Hi all,

I also posted this in the main forum, but for those who only look at the diezel forum (including myself), here it is again:

I have a really new G-System, including a custom made case for it.
I bought it in the end of the last year and now finally had the chance to use it a little bit more (before I had too much to do with exams and this stuff...). I love the high quality effects, the way the G is build (totaly road-qualified, heavy like a tank) and a lot of cool features, but
I am a sound-purist and can not wire it the way that it does not change my amps sound. I read through the white paper, which is great, and ended up in wiring it into the loop. But I think it is just a waste of money to have such a great unit and could not work it out the right way.
I will stay with tc electronics and buy a G Major 2. If anybody is willing to trade for the G + some cash, that would be fine, too =)
I am located in Aachen (Germany).

The whole package includes:
- G-System (barely used)
- Custom made case
- 2 balanced Cordial cables (7 m)

If you are interested, just shoot me a message.

DvE,
Sorry to hear of your troubles with the G-system. I was going to go for one myself, but after reading about it, I went for the TC Nova System to use in the effects loop for time-based effects and am totally happy with the results.

It took me all of 1/2 hour to set it up with my Diezels reading the manual as I went along.
Everything came out perfectly the first time and I have had no trouble with it at all sucking any tone. I run mine in the series loop.
I programmed the compression, boost, detune, mod, delay, and reverb for three patches, all set up in pedalboard format. It's all I need at present and works all the time. I used a Pedalsnake for my hookups to make it a fast set up and breakdown.

If you like, you can run a volume pedal and wah from the guitar to the amp input and be done with all the fancy wiring you had to go through before.

this is the best set up I have found, and it is simple, fast, and sounds great.

Best of luck in getting your sytem set up as you like it.

Hey C-4,

thank you for the nice words =)

I just found out, that the only thing I like between my guitar and my amp is my wha - nothing else if possible.
In the loop everythings fine, but before I loose this crushing tone and I play dry within 80- 90% of our songs.

Maybe I will buy sth. else for the loop, but keeping the G-System only for the loop is a waste of this great unit - just imo.

DvE,
I agree with you about using the G-System only for the loop, but with a Diezel, it seems almost overkill to have extra distortion and other effects other then say, compression, et. al. between the guitar and amp input. (personal opinion, of course)
I use a volume pedal there as I have been using one since 1975, and am very used to it.
My Goodrich vol pedal is buffered, so the wah is nice and clear sounding going into the amp input.

I have found that the simpler the set up, the less frustration I encounter in live playing situations. In the studio, that's a different matter.

Good luck in finding the happy zone. :)
