I registered here in hopes of getting an answer to what year my VH4 was made. I bought it second hand (or third) about seven years ago and never knew when it was made. Partly because I can’t make out the numbers of the serial no, scribbled down by builder Lars. So I thought I’d post a pic and hopefully someone with more abstract thinking could have a go 
To me it says: A00AA68
But I’m guessing that at least that first “A” is “1”.
