Hi, tried the tourmaster at GC and got great modern tones on channel 4. Took home and can't quite get there. Ironically, I was concerened about channel 3's ability to do a "classic rock" marshally thing, and that actually sounds better at home. At gc i played through eggy 4x12, home is a splawn 2x12 with heritage 30 and g75. I'm sure the cab makes a diff, but it sounds great with other high gain types?? How are you setting the amp, can't quite find the sweet spot with the contour? Hope I can figure it out, thanks for your help. chad

Chad try to get your settings without the contour. It has a drastic effect on the mids and high end. Start at 12 o'clock and with the presence and density at 9 o'clcock. Put the master at 2 to 3 o'clock and use the channel master to control your overall volume. The classis/modern switch does also have a big effect on the gain structure on channels 3 and 4.

thanks a bunch, that was real helpful. I think the settings for densityand presence made a big diff, as well as turning off the contour. i had played with all the buttons for a while the other night, and didn't know which way was up. another question: i'm not hearing any difference when reverb is engaged, is it that subtle? or am i missing something? thanks again, just had a ball jamming on the 4100!
