So, I just bought 3 4x12 cabs but I am really only planning on keeping one of them. While I do live in a reasonable area for somebody to want to come and pick them up (central NY, Ithaca), I know that I will have a better chance at moving them if I am willing to ship them. Problem is, I don`t want to have to bend over and grab my ankles on shipping charges (and neither would any potential buyer)... The last resort would be taking them down to the UPS store and probably paying ~$150ish for packing and shipping, but I know there has to be a way to do it cheaper. Unfortunately, I do not have a Guitar Center near me so going to pick up a 4x12 box is unlikely. I have heard of people making their own boxes, but I have a feeling that won`t end well if I attempt something like that without better direction. So any ideas?

Oh, and shoot me a PM if you are looking for a vht deliverance 4x12 (with some tolex tears), a mint framus dragon 4x12, or a mint mesa traditional 4x12. I am guessing I will end up keeping the framus or mesa, but don`t know just yet.

And please contact me if you're looking for a Paisley Bogner 4x12 loaded with V30's and H30's.

:)

If I have a buyers for all three of these I will still take you up on that as we discussed via email a week or so back. I would definately rock the paisley, but I would request an autographed fanny pack. I would even throw in some belly lint for the auto'd fanny pack.....You don`t have to answer now, just think about it. :D

Yeah, DHL is the cheapest to ship 4x12 cabs. Expect to pay about $50-75 on average if you have your own box.

I went to a place called the packaging store or something like that..I think they are a national business...they made me a double walled box for an egnater 4x12 I had to ship to Cali and the box cost me $25 dollars. +1 to DHL on the shipping of it!

Yeah...The boxing/packing is the problem....

Call up all the local guitar stores in your area and see if they have any 4x12 boxes, that's your best bet.

this is my issue as well considering i'm thinking of moving the basson and goin with sumthin else.
