Shiva's Pilot light hot

Hey all-
- I've got a 20th edition shiva that all of a sudden has a pilot light and it washer running extremely hot. -the amp is still running ok to my ear so I'm not sure if it's affecting anything.
Anybody know what this might mean-

My Rev 2's pilot light is hot, but I've had no issues.

My 20th Siva's pilot light runs really hot too. So did my regular Shiva. Should be normal.

The pilot light of my XTC was getting really hot too. I just disconnected it from the board, partly because the power transformer was getting hot too, and partly because I needed the 300mA the beast consumes for a mod.

If I understood it right, there are LED replacements for the pilot light. Don't know why Reinhold uses pilot lights. AFAIK there is no technical or sound reason for doing so.
