Cab was a Mojotone Canyon oversized 1x12 with front port. Amp was my Morris UK 78’. Shootout was blind to two other players, but not me since I was swapping.
Not going to go into depth on every speaker, but everyone in the room put the Creamback 75 dead last. No offense to anyone who likes that speaker, but I don’t understand the stuff on the web saying that it is warmer than the Anniversary G12H-30. It’s not…..in fact it sounds nothing like it. Granted the G12H-30 here was the newer UK version. So not sure if that’s a player. Consensus was that the Creamback 75 is narrow and grating on top with minimal low end, even in the ported cab.
Not mentioning all, but winners were UK Greenback, Creamback 65, UK G12H-30, and Fane F70. Honorable mention to a beat up Chinese V30, WGS Invader, and Neo Creamback. Duds were the Creamback 75, Heritage G12-65, Weber Silver Bell, and modern G12T-75. The rest fell in the middle.
This is just with my gear and may mean nothing with yours.
