Thanks for the heads up! Yeah, I found it was causing way too much heat so I had it turned off for now. Thats why I posted a thread on HRI on unit placement.

What units are OK to stack?

If I leave 1U gap between the top/bottom of the preamp should that fix it? Do you think its fine if I stack the ENGL with the M4? Those don't seem to create as much heat as the GP3 did

I'm not sure about the 2502 (or 2902), but the M4, IE-4, 2150 1128, 2290, HK Access, SC Climax, intelliverb, cad cgm2, etc have all been fine for me.

yes. Just put the power amp in a separate, light rack. That will give you 2 extra spaces, which will also leave space for your other preamps to breathe. It will make the rack a heck of a lot easier to move.

It will keep your power amp tubes cooler too.

The 2502 does not need any extra space - I confirmed this both with VHT directly, and through my own experience. I have the M4 and 2502 stacked together in a 4 space rack - no issues with heat or hum.

Same here for me. I have had the a 2/50/2 or a 2/90/2 right next to a Marshall JMP-1 (Voodoo Amps Modded, but sold it after I got a M4) and a Eggie M4. Not a single problem w/ them in 4-5 years of owning a VHT Power amp, a Marshall JMP-1, and 6-8 months w/ a M4.

So I moved some stuff around for spacing around the GP3, hopefully this is fine now?
