Hello there,

i got a problem with my Herbert: Is there a simple alternative switching unit for the Herbert? I dont want to use the Columbus and similar Midi-Monsters. I just need an adaquate switching unit to be able to control the amp...

It should have 6 Buttons (at least 5):

3 for the three channlels
1 for crunch mode switch channel 2
1 mid-cut
1 switch for the two master-channels

I want to use effect-pedals and no rack-unit because i like to be able to alter all parameters in realtime (stoner-rock - psychedelc style :)

it would be really great if someone could give me a hint - otherwise it wont be much of fun using the herbert..

Thanks a lot in advance!!
Happy new year!

the "+/-" on Ch2 is not footswitchable (but can be modified to be).

for the rest: why not any of the "simple" midi controllers?

Boss/Roland FC50 or something like that:

can be bought for ~50,- used.

still, its midi - but just save Ch1 on Button 1, Ch2 on Button 2, and so on...

Thanks for your reply! Yea seems I´m pretty noobish with this things. I had an Engl Savage long time ago and it needed an interface to run units like the one you showed me. I just had a talk with a guy from a shop - he told me the same (though he recommended the Engl Z-9, which is pretty much the same!). I´m going to try that!

I´m going to post the results 13.01 .. ( I can´t wait .. :D  )

See you + happy new year!!

I actually have one of those that i wouldnt mind selling since i
have a columbus now

I have a Midi Moose.

A simple but good midi controller, better quality of the switches than the most others, little lights above each switch so you know your state and not too expensive.

Its for sale now, because I bought u used G-System :)
So if you are interested - PM me ;)
