Just came back from seeing these two powerhouses at a local, relatively personal venue in the UK. They've still got it.

Kinda a breath of fresh air seeing a bunch of guys rocking out in the way you're supposed to rock out.

Ugly kid joe. Such a great band to me
All original line up?

Several years ago one of the Artist at my tattoo shop was asked to tour with Ugly Kid Joe on drums but he declined b/c he is terrified of flying.

Whitfield Crane, Cordell Crockett, Sonny Mayo all there. Not big enough into UKJ to confirm if i'm honest.

They killed it. Finished up with 'Everything About You' & then a cover of Ace of Spades!

No guesses what Skid Row finished with... I pretty much paid my fee to hear that song. No Seb Bach unfortunately.

Those first 2 Skid albums are on my all time favorites list, I'd pay unholy amounts of money to see Baz "bach" in Skid Row again... But I am excited about his new record working with Steve Stevens and Zakk Wylde amongst others...

I 100% concur

Oh god, Baz with Zakk Wylde on a song? Queue the harmonic squeals, sludgy chorus, messy runs and vibe pedal.

Ugly Kid Joe was great! They got some solid chunky tones. Anyone know what amps they used?

Wat?

Can't believe both are still going. I really like the first 2 Ugly Kid Joe discs and the first Skid Row album, haven't heard the 2nd.

I just produced and mixed the new record for Dead City Ruins, they are the opener. How were they?

Unfortunately? I'd sooner watch a walrus try to hump a sit-n-spin than listen to the high maintenance drama queen caterwaul. Does he have an extra chromosome? Is he really one of Rick Santorum's kids?

Regardless of whatever is his major malfunction, he is a tremendous malfuntion! Talk about suffering LSD.

Just off out to see this show in London.

We saw skid row about six months ago in Islington. Killer show.

We saw Seb Bach around the same time too. And yeah... He's still got it, don't worry about that!!!

Ugly Kid Joe is really a great rockin band aren't they? Great audience interaction in that clip and he even fist pumps all the security. Def. not above the common man like say...DLR who tells security to get out of his way because they are stealing his spot light..

Wow, I went to their website...Shannon Larkin from Wrathchild America/Souls at Zero (and later Godsmack) is playing drums for them. Easily one of the best hard rock/metal drummers that I've ever seen.

Just came back :)

I really liked Dead City Ruins. I didn't pick up a cd, but I'll order one probably tomorrow.

Ugly kid joe were very good, but did pick a few of their more obscure songs. But the classics made an outing, Neighbour, Milkmans Son, etc.

Skid Row were just fucking great. They were a lot better than last March in Islington. All the classics, all very welcome.

The biggest thing, this was the first show in London I've seen in a long time that was actually CLEAR! For a while, London shows seemed to vilify guitar players. As in FUCKLOADS of vocals and EVEN MORE snare. It was like it was the sound guy's mission to prove that there was a snare drum on that stage at all costs.mto the point where some gigs have been utter shit because for some reason guitar players are not allow volume. Which is a bit fucking odd for rock and metal.

But tonight, there was unashamedly plenty guitars and a nice clear mix. How it damn well should be.

Another part of me thinks it was also thanks to the decent valve amps (Orange amps for UKG, 5150s for Skid Row)
