MAN, I just love the way this thing sounds for leads with the volume WAY up. It's special. seriously.  It compresses ever so slightly, and just does exactly what my fingers say. I'm in love again.

It tracks like a mother f*er too.

Some people might say it doesn't have enough gain if they just sit down and jam on it, but on record, it sounds huge AND clear AND ballsy.

It has enough gain for me.

depends on the Pickup, I guess.

I agree - it's great for lead. Such a great module overall. Very thick tone and just enough gain.

However, I have been having issues getting it to sound just right mic'd with the C80s. I like the C80s, but dont' think the Plexi gain is their forte.

I'm thinking of getting a more Greenback-type speaker and seeing if that does the trick.

I've been playing through EV SRO Ceramics and EV Force 12's

amazing speakers, btw.

Scumback M75 - 65 watt. You won't be sorry!

i like channel b with the gain backed off, and hit with a clean boost to tighten the bottom

I know what he's saying. The bottom is nice for good rock'n stuff, but at the same time it isn't as tight as say EG5 or SLX. I use SL more than any other module I think. Channel B is just a great rock tone.
