I have the same feeling with the SL2. I had the SL2 first, and really liked it. Then I got the EG3/4 and I liked that even more. Then I got the SL...and was like holy hell, that's a killer plexi / JTM45 vibe. That's by far my favorite "Marshally" module done by Bruce. So versatile, and takes stomp boxes VERY well!

The Hairy Brown Eye? Totally different. The SL is more Plexi / JTM45ish, whereas the HBE has more gain, and is voiced differently.

The DF modded SL+ was before he offered the HBE mod, so Basically he just improved the clarity, tightened it up a little and it has more crunch over the stock Sl+. I am sure it has way more gain then the egnater sl. I am just contemplating outloud on whether a single channel Sl could be in my future.

Dave did an SL2 for me and he also added more gain to the A channel.More hair around the edges,tighter response in low end and maybe a tad darker but more open sounding.It still retains the Eggy qualities just more hair.I love the A channel But I love the Stock one too!!!!!
