I'm torn between the BMAN and the SL module. I'm looking for tones ranging from Audley Freed (Cry of Love era), Andy Timmons tones with my Tube Driver to current Richie Kotzen tones.

I know these modules kinda overlap but I would like to know the pros and cons of each.

Thanks,
Billy

I've got the Xman (bman with "x" mod) and an SL. These two combined make for one of the best 4 channel amps I've ever heard, BUT, if you already are happy with your clean sound, you should definitely go with the SL. It cleans up nicely with the volume knob, and reacts really well to OD (Barber LTD and Keeley Sparkle Drive in my case) in front of it. Haven't tried it with the VX or other clean modules yet, but in the Mod50, it's absolutely killer. The Bman isn't as gainy as the SL, but still has a good crunch on channel B. The two are voiced very similarly IMO, and given the right pedals, could be interchanged in a pinch. For what you say you're looking for though, SL FTW!

In the "Blues, Rock & Heavy" clips that Jeff Hilligan posted, Keith Howland demos a lot of the modules over a simple backing track. The BMan has a great pushed clean to it - you might check it out if you haven't already.

For what I do, I like everything about the SL more than everything about the Bman.

That said, single coils + Bman = win.

I play singer coil guitars. I might pickup a Bman. Does anyone have any rocking Bman clips they would like to share? Same goes for SL clips.

I checked out that clip a while back. It was my favorite of the bunch.
