Taking my univalve to practice tonight, its usually fine for volume. Got a different drummer today though. If I need to slave it into a poweramp, I presume I only need an instrument cable? Or does it need a speaker cable?

god dammit

beat me to the race joke

of course, I was gonna say "a black one"

but still :uzi:

Just an instrument cable from the slave out/FX send of the main head, into the FX return of another amp head or input of a poweramp! :)

What is the benefit of slaving versus just using a biamp setup?

I don't have a power amp, so if I ever slaved, I would be going into the preamp of my 2nd head (unless I was using one with an effects loop)

The benefit of avoiding the second preamp is that you don't get the gain/eq from the 2nd head. You are basically just increasing the volume of an already cranked head. That being said, going into the input may work for you...
