But I'm sure that one is an amazing attenuator and it attenuates bigly so whatever. You'll be happy to know that Joe Bonamassa approves of your purchase.

One time while playing my DSL i was getting GLORIOUS tube saturation as all amps do sound just before they die and the room was filling up-
with that HOT electrical smell. Look inside the head and 2 EL-34's are redplating. Never ever had a problem and its a 2009 no bias drift.
Start doing damage control assessment and realize i had plugged the 16 ohm speaker cab into the 8 ohm amp output.
Fortunately no harm no foul.

"Fry-It" and "Fried-Man" have to be the worst names for a power attenuator of all time. It's like "Cease Funeral Home" level stuff. I would think someone pouring that much thought into a piece of equipment either really better CYA on the build or at least have thought "maybe I shouldn't call it this". LOL

I would take the 66' of course, with the understanding it could blow up on my next road trip. I dunno man, the the last thing I would want to be "vintage" is an attenuator. Like mentioned , newer stuff like the Fryette units are dope. They are pricey, but you get some cool loop options, and they really do sound very transparent. I don't hear the horror stores like I did for years with the non reactive stuff either.

I think he went through some kind of contract/legal issue to lose the rights to the VHT name many years ago at this point.

I honestly have never heard of any of that stuff except for George Lynch, and I have never listened to his playing. I wanna say he played with David Coverdale or someone like that but I never listened to that stuff either cause I don't have a mullet or a camaro. Cease Funeral Home is real though, I stole that comparison from the actual funeral home so yeah I guess I'm still a thief. *shrugs
