We are finishing up on the long-awaited Modern 7-string prototype for NAMM now and here's the first look in its development stage. This prototype for NAMM will have oil-finished Mahogany body and neck, Floyd Original 7-string trem, and EMG pickups. We will offer other wood options and 7-string version pickups of our Aldrich pickups as well.

They're debuting it at NAMM which starts the 14th so all of that information should be available then. Except for the Schaller trem which I can answer now. There is no seven string Schaller trem so that will not be an option (thought the OFR 7 is manufactured by Schaller).

it beats me too... but i would perfer schaller over OFR cause the schaller is smaller in size comparable to OFR for 6 string catergory. now that i know schaller only offers 6 string ehh time to buck up schaller !!!

This is awesome. I'd prefer passives, but this has no flame/quilt top and no binding. It's just pure win.

Price?

Pete, I've always viewed you as an important person, even if from afar.

Have been more of an Active person over the years, but the current Modern I own has Aldrich pups. I'd like to do the swap over to Actives, but the guitar is so well balanced as she is, it seems wrong to change. I do have a question, I keep finding myself, hitting the neck position, and am actually enjoying the smooth rounded tones over the harsh vibe from the 81 am used to, should I seek help?
