So can somebody run me through something, MIDI/Einstein wise

So, I have some experience with MIDI from past rigs with Mesa and the Herbert.

If I were to mod the Einstein to select between the three modes in Ch1, am I right in thinking this uses a couple of the speaker jacks? Do these then become switching jacks that could be switched by something such as the GCX?

One of the speaker jacks is replaced with a stereo switch jack. That gives access to three modes of channel 1. So with a Nobels MS4 or two G-Majors or two Rocktron Replifexes you could switch:

- channel 1/2
- master 1/2
(first "regular" switching jack)

- modes 1/2/3 of the first channel
(modded switching jack).

In total you need 4 switching functions - not sure if the GCX does that, probably will if it is similar to the MS-4.

GCX or MS-4 or any other midi-analog-device with either 2 stereo outs (like a Major) or 4 mono outs. You need stereo-mono adaptors then. Two of them.

Thanks, sounds simple enough.
