I bought this a while back, and never used it. Where would this tube find a good home? My options would be:

Mod50 internal tubes
M4 tubes
EG5
COD
VX
Twin dual

I've heard that 12AT7's make for good PI tubes. Never tried it there, but am willing to try anything once. Especially since I've got it on hand. I think I might actualy have 2 of these, but they've become separated. I find one, and think "don't I have two of these?" and then forget about it, then find one again in a different place, and forget about it.  Maybe I could do with a little better organization.

I would try it for the PI slot.

I bought a Groove Tube SAG-AX7-MPI for the PI position and am really liking it. It really helped to balance the overall character of my amp.

Take a minute to read the attachment, at least it's an interesting read.

Thanks for the info. That's kind of where I was leaning already, but nice to get some more informed advice.
